CUMBERLAND, B.C. – Anyone passing by Cumberland’s Peace Park will notice red dresses hanging up high.
The installation is part of the Red Dress Awareness Campaign. The initiative honours murdered and missing Indigenous women.
The Kumugwe Society, IHOS Gallery and representatives from the Comox Valley Transition Society were on hand for Saturday’s opening ceremonies.
The installation will be in place until October 8th.
