COMOX, B.C. – Hundreds of people lined up along Comox Road to honour Canada’s military past and present this morning.
The Remembrance Day parade began at Nordin Street, and continued along Comox Avenue to the local cenotaph, where a special ceremony was held.
‘O Canada’ was sung by the Comox Military Wives Choir, followed by an opening prayer by Padre Christopher Donnelly. Two minutes of silence were held, and the laying of the wreaths took place afterwards.
The ceremony closed with a rendition of ‘God Save the Queen’ by the Comox Military Wives Choir.
