She might not have landed on the podium, but Spencer O’Brien made snowboarding history at the X-Games!
The Courtenay native became the first female to hit a backside 900. She landed the trick on the last jump during her second run in finals on Sunday. She had planned to spin 720, but added the last rotation and stomped her way to a new record in Aspen, Colorado.
