As preciously reported, Comox Valley MLA Don McRae has resigned from Cabinet but the Island will still have a voice on the front benches.
Parksville Qualicum MLA Michelle Stilwell will be replacing McRae as Minister of Social Development and Social Innovation.
Stilwell says she’s excited about the new role but it means leaving her other positions behind.
But she adds that there’s plenty to do, and she’s looking forward to helping all British Columbians.
Stilwell is sworn in today. Meanwhile, McRae will stay on as an MLA. He decided to step down from cabinet because of a family health concern.
