Comox Valley Ground Search and Rescue (CVGSAR) members had a busy weekend.
On Saturday night, they were called to the Mount Washington area to help an injured hiker.
“Two members were inserted by (an) RCMP Air 8 (helicopter) just before sunset, where they assessed the subject and remained overnight,” Comox Valley SAR said in a Facebook post.
On Sunday morning, the Air 8 flew in a stretcher team to move the hiker to a suitable landing zone for evacuation.

“Air 8 made several trips, delivering the hiker to BC Ambulance Service, and the CVGSAR teams back to Incident Command at Raven Lodge,” the Facebook post noted.
We have reached out to CVGSAR for more details.
