The Island Coastal Economic Trust approves of $320,000 for the town of Comox’s Marina Centre Project.
Now the plans for this include the construction of two new buildings…with recreational spaces for boating gatherings, as well as public meeting spaces for up to 70 people each.
In addition to these, there will be a new Harbour Services Building and a central plaza…that will include open spaces, benches and fountains.
The plan’s projected to generate a strong number of tourism-related jobs, as well as multiple positions for construction workers on the project.

The Meeting Place Village is expected to be completed by the fall of 2016.
