An active search is underway to locate a missing man from Courtenay.
Michelle Root shared a Facebook post yesterday morning stating her husband, Michael Gazetas, had been missing for over 24 hours with no contact.
“We have no real idea of where he went, though if I were to guess it would be north and/or into the bush,” Root says.
Gazetas was last seen leaving his house in a red Ford Ranger pick-up truck, with the license plate HX 4109.

He was wearing a hat and a patterned red and blue wool poncho over a black shirt and vest.
If you see Gazetas or know where he is, call the Comox Valley RCMP at (250) 338- 1321.
Root adds that it would not be inappropriate to call 911.
The case number is 2020-1779.
