The Sid is hosting a show on March 28th that benefits a local charity campaign!
When I’m 64 received rave reviews at its 9 staged readings in Victoria. Now the live stage version is hitting the Sid for one day only, with 2 performances.
It’s a play produced by the Women’s Business Network and is raising funds for the L’Arche I Belong Campaign.
It’s a unique story that consists of monologues by several different women from different walks of life, with all the women being 64 or older.
Comox resident Kate Fairley, who plays the leading role of Joan in the production, gives a little tease at the plot of the show.
Fairley has a strong connection to the Comox Valley.
She touches on her love of the Valley.
The play is written by Comox writer Steve Hill.
When I’m 64 goes on March 28th, with one show at 2:00 pm and another at 7:30 pm at the Sid Williams Theatre in downtown Courtenay.
