There are many programs on the Island that look to help at-risk youth.
One of those is the Comox Valley KidStart mentoring program. It’s for kids 6 to 18-years-old, and is run by the John Howard Society of North Island.
Program reps Wendy Thurlborn and Vanessa Marshak – who serves as a mentor with KidStart – were at Courtenay council this week.
Marshak touches on the importance of this program.
