“Things have changed for Rotary, too. We’re trying this new way to raise funds in response, so we can continue to help the growing number of residents in need.”
Rotary Club of Strathcona Sunrise president, John Frisch, said the goal is to raise $17,000 for two essential, local organizations that are working to ensure that everyone in the Valley can eat.
“At the same time, the raffle will support our local food providers, like growers, food retailers, and restaurants,” Frisch added.
The Lush Valley Food Action Society and Comox Valley Food Bank support people living in our community, especially during these difficult times, through food collection, food distribution, education, and other special programs.
