The Comox Valley RCMP is giving an update on the latest threat to halt classes at Lake Trail Middle School.
Constable Monika Terragni says it was directed towards a staff member but has since been resolved.
“The threat was directed at a specific staff member and steps have been taken to ensure their safety moving forward,” said Terragni.
“This is an understandably frustrating incident for those in the Lake Trail community;
however, we have to take our time and be vigilant during these investigations to ensure everyone’s safety,” she added.
It’s the second threat to be directed towards the school, with the first one happening last month.
The RCMP says it is working with School District 71, the Youth Probation, and the Ministry of Children and Families to find a solution for the individual involved in both incidents.
