Thousands in the Comox Valley are in the dark right now.
BC Hydro is reporting massive outages across the valley because of a substation fault.

These areas are impacted:

- East of Hobson Avenue, north of Back Road, south of Ryan Road, and west of Parry Place – affecting 2,588 customers. Crews are on their way;
- North of Piercy Road – affecting 4,126 customers. Crews are en route; and
- East of Comox Road, south of Ryan Road, and west of Skeena Drive. Crews are on their way.

BC Hydro says the power went out at 11:33am in all those areas.
