Comox Valley teachers have put away their picket signs, at least for the summer months. That from Steve Stanley, outgoing president of the Comox District Teachers Association.
Meanwhile Comox Valley School District Superintendent Sherry Elwood says she is thrilled with the decision to shut down the picket lines, which allowed unionized support staff to return to work earlier today.
There is still no sign of a collective agreement for BC teachers despite recent negotiations. A mediator has yet to be called in to try and break the logjam.
