Quite the inferno Wednesday afternoon on Willemar Avenue in Courtenay where a vehicle went up in flames, prompting a fast response from Courtenay Fire Department crews just after 3 p.m. City Fire Chief Don Bardonnex explains.
Bardonnex says the car sustained some major damage as the blaze ripped through the vehicle.
Fortunately there were no injuries in the incident, which sent plumes of smoke wafting through the neighbourhood.
