Well with the weather getting warmer and warmer, you may find yourself wanting to hit the trails for a hike.
Now living on the West Coast means you might bump into some wildlife…including bears.
Conservation Officer Steve Petrovic offers up some advice when it comes to encountering those furry creatures.
He brings up a recent bear sighting in Campbell River.

He goes on to detail what happened when he attended the scene.
Petrovic says earlier this week he was on a cougar call near the trail entrance around the Dogwood area. While walking through, he says he noticed significant evidence of bear activity. He adds to report any bear sightings to the BC Conservation Office.
