A major legal setback now for the CVRD.
The BC Supreme Court has ruled the Comox Valley Regional District has to consider a bid to change up the Regional Growth Strategy, that could end up green lighting a commercial and residential project in the Stotan Falls area.
Nanaimo’s 3-L Developments called for a judicial review of an RD decision not to consider the company’s bid to amend the RGS.

The developer’s proposed project is sited between the Browns and Puntledge Rivers.
After lengthy discussions at the RD table the CVRD came with down a decision on June 24th of last year not to consider an amendment to the RGS, basically putting the brakes on the huge project.
