The Comox Valley Regional District is receiving new government funding for the Denman Island water treatment project to improve drinking water services.
The federal investment is $798,000, and the provincial funding is $664,933
The municipality contribution is $532,067.
The funding is to assist in ending seasonal boil water advisories.
This is part of the $19.2 million in new joint government funding for four projects in the province to support drinking water and wastewater infrastructure.
