Checking out a Royal Canadian Navy boat will be available to the public on Friday.
The Canadian Armed Forces have announced the HMCS Brandon will be at the Department of National Defence Pier next to the Fisherman’s Wharf in Comox. Free guided tours will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., as part of a recruiting event.
Forces Canada says visitors will have the opportunity to chat with the ship’s crew about their roles on board. A team from the Royal Canadian Navy will also be there with information on how to become part of the team
They ask visitors on the boat to follow COVID-19 safety precautions, including wearing a mask on the ship.

Visitors are welcome to take and share photos of the HMCS Brandon and Edmonton.
