In the ashes of the iconic, and historic Lorne Hotel, plans are ramping up to rebuild on the site, with the idea of breathing new life into the downtown core of Comox. Goat News spoke with Project Manager Sean Vincent, who says that is the idea behind the five story project, to include condos and a bistro, complete with an outdoor patio and dance floor.
Vincent says there was a good turnout at a public open house this week with mainly positive feedback from the community.
Meanwhile Comox Council will ultimately have the final say on the proposed project as the public consultation process continues.
