Two new electric-vehicle charging stations are ready for use in Cumberland.
They are located at the Cumberland Cultural Centre on Dunsmuir Avenue, and are the first public ones in the village Core.
Level 2 chargers will add between 30 to 40 kilometers of range per hour, allowing residents to go out for a meal in a local restaurant, go shopping, or enjoy the village’s local trails.
The Village of Cumberland’s council adds that these stations are to be operated as cost-neutral to the Village and charging fees have been set at $2.50 an hour.
