Living wages and a councilor’s mandatory leave of absence will be a part of the City of Courtenay’s upcoming council meeting.
A report on Living Wage coming to council will discuss the ongoing high cost of living, the need for employees to earn a livable wage, as well as addressing a bylaw that favors businesses in the city that give their employees a sustainable wage.
