Courtenay residents can expect full-lane closures through road work on Highway 19.
The work will focus on replacing the south-end bridge joint armor on Tsable River bridge, resulting in northbound lanes at the Cook Creek intersection being closed for three weeks.
Once work on those lanes is done, the southbound lanes at the Buckley Bay exit will also be closed for three weeks.
Both closures will have motorists detoured towards Highway 19A, with Mainroad North Island Contracting encouraging residents to slow down while driving.
