It appears a section of eastern Vancouver Island will get some heavy rain before the Easter long weekend.
A rainfall warning has been issued for the area between Courtenay and Campbell River today, with Environment and Climate Change Canada forecasting up to 60 millimetres for inland sections.
They add it is because of a “slow moving pacific frontal system” and between 40 and 60 millimetres can be expected along the coast. There is also a risk of flooding in low-lying areas.
Coming with the deluge is a side of southeast wind between 50 and 70 km/h, according to Environment Canada.

The wind and rain are expected to ease and end after midnight. They ask you to monitor weather forecasts and report severe weather to the Environment Canada email.
