Prepping for curbside garbage pickup has gotten easier in the Town of Comox, with the launch of a new mobile app.
Called Comox Curbside, the app will remind residents of their weekly collection days via phone. It’s also got a tool to help users remember what materials can be recycled, composted, or thrown in the trash.
Comox Mayor Nicole Minions says they’re aware of how long the community has waited for a feature like this app.
“The app will also support us with notifications on the transition to automated curbside collection in January 2024,” says Minions. “In addition to collection day reminders, residents will receive alerts or messages on changes or important schedule information.”
The Town says residents can find the free app on Google Play, the App Store, and the Town of Comox’s website.
