The City of Courtenay wants to hear from residents on its 2023-2026 strategic priorities plan.
The plan contains several key projects and initiatives, including transportation, buildings, affordable housing, parks, environmental solutions, infrastructure, food systems, and culture.
There are improvements proposed to the cycling network and zoning Bylaw, integration of more nature-based solutions, and changes to infrastructure and parks is also on the list of priorities.
Courtenay mayor Bob Wells says that these plans will play a big part for council and residents for the next four years.
“Our goal was to build on this vision and assign these numerous priorities for our Council and staff to focus on,” says Wells.
“We are really proud to share this draft document with the community.”
The city adds that the priorities have been developed over the course of several months following the municipal election from last year.
The deadline to leave feedback on these priorities will be on Wednesday May 10th at 1:00 p.m., where for more information on how to leave feedback, visit the City of Courtenay’s website.
