Comox Valley RCMP are investigating an assault.
Police responded to a report on Sunday May 7th at 6:00 pm of a man suffering injuries after being assaulted by a weapon between 26th Street and Fitzgerald Avenue.
The injuries aren’t life-threatening, and the suspect is described as a 40-year-old man, wearing glasses, a blue or gray hooded sweater and jeans.
Along with looking for two male witnesses who were walking west of the area during the assault, and video surveillance of the incident, authorities add that they are on the lookout for the occupants of a red four-door SUV which was driving through the area at the time of the assault.
