Cumberland starting improvements on wastewater facility this week

You could see improvements to the water in Cumberland, as the Village is making upgrades to the Wastewater treatment facility.

Crews will be making improvements to the lagoon system by removing phosphorus and using other disinfection measures that are environmentally friendly. There will also be a focus on other improvements, including work on an operator’s building, workshop, improved instrumentation, and site security.

Cumberland Mayor Vickie Brown says the construction is a very important step towards a better future for the environment in the area.
