RMCP searching for man after reports of an indecent act

Comox Valley RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man after a report of an indecent act.

The report came from an adult female who ran into a man while walking alone on a trail in Ruth Masters Greenway on Powerhouse Road in Courtenay.

After a short interaction, they parted ways, then she ran into him again while he was performing an indecent act. The man was wearing a short sleeve button-up shirt with a floral print pattern and loose-fitting shorts that came down to his knees.

He then left the scene in a small black car.

A composite sketch and description of the suspect from police can be found on our website.

If you have any information on the man or the incident, you’re asked to call Comox Valley RCMP’s non-emergency line.
