You can expect some disruptions on your afternoon drive in Courtenay, as road work for a sewer project is starting on Wednesday.
Crews will be doing geotechnical drilling work on Lazo road, along the section crossing the Lazo Marsh, all as part of the Sewer Conveyance Project. The Comox Valley Regional District says this work will help them better understand the ground conditions along the proposed route.
Because of the work, disruptions will be taking place in the area, with traffic set to be reduced to single-lane alternating, starting this Wednesday from seven in the morning to six in the evening.
You are advised by the district to be cautious and to obey the directions made by traffic marshals.

The work is set to continue until Friday.
