DriveBC says the road is now clear and traffic is flowing smoothly again.

Traffic on Highway 19A near Royston has been reduced to single-lane alternating traffic following a “multi-vehicle” incident this afternoon.
According to DriveBC, the incident is between Briardale Road and Carey Place, about 3 kilometres south of Courtenay.
They add drivers should watch for traffic control and consider alternate routes.
