Thinking of sparking up that campfire anytime soon? Not such a good idea, with a sweeping campfire ban set to kick in tomorrow, says Comox Fire Chief Gord Schreiner.
Schreiner says the ban covers the entire region, including provincial parks and private property, with no burning of any kind permitted.
The campfire ban will be in force effective noon Thursday, and will stay on the books until October 15, unless officials decide to plug should conditions allow for that.
