Island Health says there is an influenza outbreak at a Courtenay seniors’ community home.
The health authority says the outbreak is at Ocean Front Village in the 2900-block of Cliffe Avenue. The facility has 120 long-term care beds that opened in 2022.
As of today, the influenza A outbreak has been ongoing since Jan. 17. The Island Health outbreak list does not specify a specific location within the home, and it will remain on the list until the outbreak is declared over.
