Snowfall warning in effect between Comox Valley, Campbell River

Around five centimetres of snow can be expected between this afternoon and this evening between the Comox Valley and Campbell River.

Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the area as a “wintry mix” of precipitation approaches.

They say snow levels are hovering around sea level, but accumulation is expected to increase greatly with elevation.

Snow is supposed to change back to rain early this evening as strong winds return to the area.
