The Wounded Warrior Run just passed the halfway mark, and they have raised over $77,000.
The run focuses on raising awareness and funds for veterans and first responders dealing with PTSD.
The runners made a stop at the Comox Valley RCMP earlier this afternoon. According to Sgt. Rob Brennan, the experience has been amazing so far.
“We have stopped community after community, stopping at legions raising money and awareness for the cause, and I can’t even articulate how awesome it has been,” said Brennan.
He says community support has been unreal since starting the run, with people stopping their cars to clap their hands or to give money.
Their goal is to raise $250,000. A link to donate can be found here.
The runners then visited the 888 Wing Air Force Association and will be running to the Bowser Legion on Thursday.
