Thanks to people who called in, firefighters were able to act quickly to the wildfire just west of Campbell River on Monday.
That was critical in allowing firefighters to gain the upper hand in the blaze, pegged at three hectares in size.
According to Coastal Fire Centre spokesperson Marg Drysdale, the fire is now 100 per cent contained tonight…
The investigation into the fire continues, although officials say it appears to be human caused.

Earlier this week fire crews snuffed out a small wildfire in the Comox Lake area, also human caused. Public information was also key in fire crews getting on the blaze very quickly.
