A virus is making it’s way through a long-term care home, according to Island Health.
The report was made on May 26, 2024, and the people are at The Views at St. Joseph’s in Comox, although it is not listed as how many are currently being affected.
Island Health said it’s a gastrointestinal or norovirus-like illness.
It’s the second active outbreak on Vancouver Island, as Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria has been dealing with a similar described outbreak in one of its units since May 13.
