Earthquakes are rumbling off the Island’s west coast again this morning, but no damage has been reported and no tsunami is expected.
The first was a 6.4 magnitude quake recorded just after 8 am this morning, 209 kilometres west-southwest of Tofino. The second was a 5.0 magnitude quake about 150 kilometres west of Tofino, recorded at about a quarter past 9.
The third, a magnitude 4.7 quake, was recorded at just after 10:30 am in the same location as the first.
Earthquakes Canada reports the larger quake was lightly felt on Vancouver Island.
