Investigators from the Integrated Forensic Identification Section and Comox Valley Major Crime Unit attended the scene and conducted a thorough investigation to find no evidence suggesting the fire was intentionally set.

RCMP thanked first responders for their quick responses to the incident and the public for their cooperation.

In a Facebook post, Obsessed Auto Detailing said they plan to push through and have begun looking for temporary location to get the business back up and running in a few weeks.

Charlie’s Auto Wash has yet to say when they plan to reopen.
