End of Comox pier closed for now because of drifted boat

The end of a local pier in Comox is temporarily closed thanks to last night’s windstorm.

In a public notice, the Town of Comox says a boat drifted against the Comox pier because of the windstorm affecting the Comox Valley on Sunday night.

As a result, the Town has notified both the Coast Guard and Transport Canada to address the situation.

In the meantime, they say the end of the pier is temporarily cordoned off from the public.
