Comox Valley entrepreneurs heading to North American International Toy Fair next year

The creators of a new hockey board game will get to showcase their game on an international stage.

Comox Valley entrepreneurs David Leverton and Anne Doyle had their application accepted to the North American International Toy Fair in New York City in 2025, to showcase their game Dice Hockey Challenge.

Leverton said he’s hopeful he can get the game more recognized worldwide, after a successful start in Canada.

“We are really excited about how fast the game has grown and that so many people are enjoying playing the game.”

The game was released into the marketplace this past spring and is now available in 55 retail stores across Canada stretching all the way out to P.E.I and Newfoundland.

The fair is being held at the Jacob J. Kavitz Center, with other vendors trying to sell their products to over 25,000 buyers who are expected to attend the event.

Leverton said people attending the show include manufacturers, retailers, sales representatives, and inventors.

“We have been advised that the first floor of the Javits Center is eight football fields long which gives you a sense of scale for this major North American Toy Fair event.”

The toy fair is scheduled for March 1-4, 2025.
