UPDATE 10:45 a.m.: Hydro crews were able to regain power for 847 customers, with Campbell River having no outages.
UPDATE 2:20 p.m.: 1,375 BC Hydro customers have seen power restored on parts of the Island and Coast.

Over 3,770 customers are still without power as of this afternoon.
BC Hydro says 6,001 customers lost power between Monday night and early Tuesday morning across Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast.

While more people are regaining power, the number of affected customers is at 3,779.
Most of the outages come from the Sunshine Coast at 3,606, with 3,497 from Sechelt and 109 from Powell River.
For Vancouver Island, 173 customers are without power in Gabriola Island, Ladysmith, Duncan, Qualicum Beach, and Nanaimo.
Crews are still working to restore power.
