BC Transit has announced upcoming changes coming to routes in the Comox Valley ahead of the beginning of the next phase of the Comox Valley Sewer Conveyance Project.
To ensure service is maintained with minimal disruptions, the following updates have been provided.
- Minor scheduling changes on Route 1 Comox Mall/Anfield Centre and select weekday morning trips on Route 2 Cumberland/Anfield Centre.
- Route 3 Comox Local: Detour via Downey-Rodello-Cooke-Anderton, minor trip time adjustments, no inbound service on Beaufort Avenue.
- Route 4 Driftwood Mall/Comox Mall: Eastbound buses will detour via Ryan Road and Lerwick Road and won’t stop between 17th Street Bridge and Comox Avenue at Anderton Road.
- Route 15 Comox Mall via Back Road/Aquatic Centre: Detour via Strathcona-Davis-Robb-Anderton to avoid project impacts on Comox Avenue.
Customers are encouraged to use the Umo app or other transit apps to plan their routes and track buses.
The service changes take effect on March 9.
