Some good news for those heading out to backcountry areas for a little rest and relaxation, as the Coastal Fire Centre has pulled the plug this afternoon on their sweeping campfire ban for the coastal region of BC.
Goat News spoke with spokesperson Ellie Dupont.
Dupont says they’ve had plenty of feedback from campers anxious to spark up a campfire.
You better enjoy that summer season campfire while you can, as the Coastal Fire Centre will likely bring back the ban shortly when warm, dry weather returns.
