With major wildfires around the province, Forests Minister Steve Thomson has suggested a huge crackdown on those responsible for starting fires, with speculation mounting, legislation on that will come down during the fall session.

Prince George-Mackenzie MLA Mike Morris is spearheading a review of the issue with tougher penalties, including higher fines or impounding the vehicles of people caught tossing lit cigarettes out of their vehicles.
