Comox Valley students can say goodbye to summer, as the school bell rings for a new school year come Tuesday of next week.
We spoke to Sherry Elwood, Superintendent for the Comox Valley School District, who says the district could see a drop of about 60 students for this school year….
Meanwhile Elwood says the district is facing a deficit of around 2 million dollars, however final numbers on that have yet to come in.
Elwood says behind the scenes over the summer months, District 71 crews have been going full tilt prepping valley schools for the new school year…
