There were smiles all around at the Cumberland Cultural Center on Saturday afternoon, as friends and family came out to a celebration for Jamie Sproule, the local senior that went missing for over 5 days in Cumberland only to be discovered alive.
It was a potluck celebration called ‘Jamie Sproule is found’; and plenty came out to meet the man of the hour, or swap stories from the massive search that happened in May.
Jamie’s brother, Rob Sproule says Jamie’s recovery is going great.
Sproule, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, went missing in May after he didn’t return home from a walk.

He was ultimately discovered when a family friend found him in some brush not far from Sproule’s Cumberland home.
