The 2015 Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock ride kicked off this weekend.
The event raises funds for pediatric cancer research and Camp Goodtimes.
But what exactly is Camp Goodtimes? Tour spokesperson Jan Buehler says it’s a special camp designed for children battling cancer.
Buehler says last year Vancouver Island was able to raise $1.2 million.

She adds every penny makes a difference and that organizers don’t necessarily set monetary goals.
Buehler says Tour de Rock activities change per community, so every year there’s a subtle difference with what they do as part of the event.
