Bad news if you were hoping the Coastal Fire Center would lift the campfire ban for Vancouver Island, as Fire Information Officer Jessica Poustie says the ban is staying put.
Poustie says they’re always monitoring conditions, and will probably check again closer to the weekend.
A campfire ban has been in place for Vancouver Island since August 1st.
