Comox Valley MLA Don McRae will not be seeking re-election.
The next Provincial vote takes place in May of next year.
McRae says he has decided it’s time for a change.
Over his seven years as MLA, McRae served as ministers for three portfolios; education, agriculture and social development and social innovation.

Premier Christy Clark released a statement, saying McRae has played an invaluable role at the Cabinet table and as part of the Liberal caucus.
