Each and every year, the Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock stops in dozens of schools across Vancouver Island, and collects thousands of dollars from student fundraisers to help kids struggling with cancer. So what if the teachers strike continues during the tour? Organizers say they’ve already drawn up a plan B with students being encouraged to come out to major public venues, such as Campbell River’s Common Mall, Port Hardy’s Civic Centre and Comox Valley community centres.
